Dr. Alter your Delray Beach chiropractor. I wanted to talk today about sufficient rest and sleep and how important it is. Do you get enough sleep? Do you wake up in the morning and feel refreshed and vibrant and ready to roll, or do you drag yourself to the coffee pot? And drag yourself to work, feeling sluggish, not enjoying your day.
You can’t let that happen. Sufficient rest is key. Through the day we do work and the body is breaking down, and then when you sleep and you rest, it’s where the body recuperates and repairs and recovers. It’s the yin and the yang of the work. You’ve gotta get sufficient rest. Your body requires a certain amount of rest, and without that amount.
It’s functioning below. Optimum reflexes are slower. Your thinking is not as sharp and accurate. All your decision making is not where it needs to be. So I’m encouraging you. Take your rest and your sleep seriously, plan appropriately so your timing can be right. So you can get the efficient and optimum amount of sleep for your body, and you can feel your best
