📍 📍 Hey,
Doctor Ryan Alter
your Delray Beach Chiropractor. People in my office ask me all the time when I’m talking about our spinal decompression. They asked me about an inversion table. Is an inversion table kind of the same thing? Is it good? Well
there’s a big difference. An inversion table is a table where you can kind of turn upside down
and allow gravity to kind of create a little bit of distraction
from your ankles to your hips.
It’s all dispersed through your spine
and then it’s static traction. Very different. The spinal decompression table is a computerized machine where we lay a patient down. And we’re able to use some programming. So there’s there’s not just a static pull. There’s a pull. Then there’s a release. There’s a speed at which it releases.
There’s another pull. There’s a maximum weight. There’s a minimum weight. So there’s a lot going on. And the reason that makes a big difference. is because when you just pull the spine apart
the muscles are going to try to react
and kind of fight a little bit and say
what are we doing here? Okay. They don’t want to be pulled for a sustained amount of time.
So with the decompression table
they’re pulled. And then before they can react
There’s a relaxation phase
and then they’re pulled again. And then there’s a relaxed. So there’s a sneaking in going on to bypass the spinal musculature from actually working against the process you’re trying to do. So there’s not only there’s it’s more comfortable
it can be done longer
it’s more effective.
It’s just a thousand times more effective than a inversion table
obviously. So anyway
I wanted to clear that up. Inversion table
there’s nothing wrong with it. It provides a little bit of distraction there
but again
it’s nothing like the decompression table that we have in our office. We’re here in Delray Beach
and we are on a mission to make sure that you are always feeling your best.
