📍 📍 Hey, Dr. 📍 Ryan Alter your Delray Beach Chiropractor. I just wanted to introduce you to my x-ray machine. So this is an x-ray machine. It takes plain film X-rays, not MRIs, not ct. Most chiropractors, including myself, want 📍 to see plain film bone x-rays, because not only are we looking at. The underlining condition of the spine to know what 📍 we’re up against, to know what’s safe to do, to have some realistic expectations.
📍 We’re also looking at positioning of the bones. Did the pelvis twist like this? Did the L 5 come posterior? So there’s a lot of information we get off x-rays. And so most of the time in my office, 📍 I’m gonna do a careful examination and I’m gonna take a set of x-rays. These x-rays, again, tell me the underlining condition.
They tell me the position of the bones. 📍 They allow me to do the best job possible for my patients, and we have. This is called a C-arm and it allows me to rotate like this, but the guts or the inside of this machine is the most 📍 up-to-date x-ray you can get. It’s a direct imaging x-ray, so there’s no cassette.
The minute I push the button over there, instantly the picture comes up on the screen. We can zoom in, we can change 📍 contrast super clear. I can see everything I need to. So we use this tool, it’s an asset to our office, and when you come into our office, oftentimes we’re gonna take a set of x-rays. 📍 To really do a great job and know exactly 📍 how to help you.
