Hey, Dr. Alter, your Delray Beach chiropractor. Today I wanna talk to you about goals. Goals. Do you have written down goals, I mean goals for where you wanna go in your life, for your love and relationships, for your health and fitness, for your career, for your financial future? We break things down into four categories to help put everything kind of in its own box.
We have love. And relationships. This would include all spiritual and God stuff. We have our health and fitness, we’ve got career, all of our work stuff, and then we’ve got money. This would include debt, this would include trips, it would include things you want to get. So everything falls into these categories and you want to, for the ultimate, have goals set for all of those.
Where do you want to go with your relationships? Where do you want to go with your spirituality? Where do you want your weight? Where do you want your fitness? What do you want to be eating? What do you want to not be eating your career? I wanna get that new job. I wanna advance in my job. I wanna make this much money.
Targets. And then what about with money? I want to pay off that debt. I want to have this much money saved by the time I’m 65. I want to go on a trip to Costa Rica. Goals and targets. You know, if you don’t have, if these set. How do you expect to get there? You’re just floating. What if you got in your car tomorrow and you wanted to go to Orlando and you didn’t have the goal to get to Orlando set?
You knew you wanted to go there, but you didn’t set that goal and you just started driving. What’s the likelihood you’re going to get to Orlando? It’s ridiculous. The pilot wouldn’t do that, but we all do that with our life. I’m encouraging you to set goals. Write them down, take them from nothing, okay?
Floating around, think them through and then take a pen and put them on paper and take them from nothing to something on a piece of paper, and have your life be drawn in that direction so that you can wind up having your life be the way that you want it.
