Tap Squat On Bench

📍 📍 📍 Hey, Doctor Ryan Alter,

your Delray Beach chiropractor. I 📍 want to show you

an exercise

that is very basic

and easy,

but it’s exceptional for connecting

the hips, the glutes

and the lower back and really providing some stability

through this midsection. And it’s called

a tap squat on a bench. And it’s going

to look like this.

You can use a chair,

you can use a bench

and basically you’re going to stand with your feet, shoulder width apart. And you’re always going to keep your back

very straight

and you’re going to stick your behind back

like that,

tap on the chair,

then engage everything and come right back up

and really contract the glutes

and the legs

and the quads.

So again, if you watch

my back, my back

is straight and flat,

straight and flat,

straight and flat,

straight and flat, and slowly right up, slow and contract. There’s none of this. It’s always flat. So you’ve got to stick

your behind back

out like that

to keep that back flat,

slow, slow, slow, slow, slow, tap,

then just drive

through everything

and bring this back up, tighten the core,

tighten the glutes,

tighten the quads,

tighten everything,

and this will kind of cinch up the midsection

and create real stability

in that area

and make you feel strong

and sturdy,

especially with lifting and bending.

Remember,

we’re here in Delray Beach

and we’re here to help you and everybody

you know feel your best.
